Narbutas Furniture Company is a lithuanian office manufacturer. Narbutas decided to use PDC2 as an efficient data creation tool. The comfortable creation of OFML data was a major reason to use PDC2. Narbutas was given support at the first steps of OFML data creation by the 3D office team. Beside the OFML data creation Narbutas decided to use the MDC to create Metadata.

The data creation

Narbutas was given support at the OFML data creation by 3D office team. In a two days training the employees were trained in the functionality of PDC2. The manufacturer was also trained for creating the graphical data in the right way and structure to create this data on their own. Therefore AutoCAD is used as CAD software. The structure of the OFML data was created in such a way that metadata can be integrated easily.

By programming an interface the 3D office team made it possible to import the commercial data into OFML standard out of the existing ERP system. This saves time and costs regarding the commercial data creation.

Integration of metadata

The office portfolio of Narbutas makes it possible to combine products alltogether which also should be implemented in the OFML data by using metadata. Narbutas uses the MDC to achieve this, allowing them to quickly and savely create meta data, avoiding the time consuming task of handling individual csv files. A separate training was held by the 3D office team, explaining the functionality of the MDC and showing general best practices as well as individualized solution possibilities.

Setup creation

To increase the distribution of their OFML data, Narbutas decided to use the SetupBuilder to deploy their data to costumers that do not use pCon Update.
